Add Device Type and Browser Information to Clickstream Data for Enhanced User Interaction Insights

Customer Request:
We have received an request from the customer to enhance their existing clickstream data pipeline by including additional information about the user’s device type and browser type.
Current State:
Currently, the pipeline processes the full clickstream document received from RabbitMQ into Amperity, which includes fields such as “CustomerID”, “ProductID”, “Timestamp”, and other interaction details.
Requested Enhancement:
To improve the depth and quality of user behavior analysis, the customer has requested the addition of the following fields:
DeviceType (e.g., Mobile, Desktop, Tablet)
BrowserType (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Firefox)
Benefits:
Adding these fields will provide more detailed insights into how users are interacting with the platform—specifically, which devices and browsers are being used. This will enable the customer to deliver more personalized experiences and make more informed business decisions.
Urgency:
The customer has indicated that this enhancement is time-sensitive and should be prioritized to support ongoing marketing and personalization initiatives.
